Today, at least one costume from all new NAC theatrical productions is automatically set aside for preservation. The NAC Costume Collection continues to grow and reflect a new generation of designers finding commissions at the National Arts Centre with renowned NAC artistic directors Peter Hinton in English Theatre and French Theatre’s Wajdi Mouawad. In the coming years we hope that the NAC Costume Collection, and other related collections in the NAC Archive, will be a useful resource for students, designers and anyone interested in design for the stage in Canada.
