Christina Poddubiuk

Christina Poddubiuk has designed After the Orchard, Trying, Mary’s Wedding, and Skylight for the National Arts Centre.

She has designed productions for Soulpepper Theatre Company, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and for regional theatres from Montreal to Edmonton.  She has designed 15 productions for the Shaw Festival including The Circle, The Heiress, Major Barbara, Ah Wilderness, Heartbreak House, Widowers’ Houses, and Candida.  She has also designed 15 productions for the Stratford Festival including Hamlet, Love’s Labour’s Lost, Carousel, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Much Ado About Nothing, All’s Well That Ends Well, She Stoops to Conquer, Twelfth Night, and The Merchant of Venice.

Born in England, Ms Poddubiuk grew up in Montreal and trained at the National Theatre School of Canada, having graduated from McGill University with an honours degree in English Literature.

Ms Poddubiuk is the recipient of several awards including The

American Theatre Wing Design Award, Stratford's Tyrone Guthrie and Tom Patterson Awards, and Edmonton’s Sterling Award.
