Jean Guy Brault is a founding member of the National Arts Centre Orchestra.

He was born in New Brunswick and received degrees from both the University of Moncton and the University of Michigan.

In addition to his duties with the NAC Orchestra, he participates regularly with several chamber music ensembles, such as the saxophone quartet, Saxart, and the Ayorama Wind Quintet, and performs as both a recitalist and as a soloist with various orchestras in the Ottawa-Hull region.
