Educational Events

When the National Arts Centre Orchestra goes on tour there are many things to do besides travelling and performing. In addition to rehearsing, the NAC Orchestra musicians spend a great deal of time teaching young artists and visiting schools. Throughout the tour, NACO musicians will provide high level training to music students in universities and high schools and will bring live music to elementary classrooms. Local artists will be featured at every stop along the way, including as soloists on the "Schubert's Party" Student Matinee in St. John's, Nfld. Masterclasses led by NACO musicians will feature local students performing in front of a live audience, and prior to every NACO concert on Tour a local children's or youth choir will be showcased in the lobby of each concert venue.
